We're excited to share our next Top 10 Spotlight: Madison Ward! Hello, my name is Madison Ward and I am a member of the top 10 for the CHS class of 2024. I represent my class by serving as a member of the Executive Student Council, National Honors Society, Keys to Success, and the varsity swim team. I am also a dancer for my competitive dance team in Waverly, Ohio. After high school, I plan on furthering my education by attending the University of Cincinnati. I am currently undecided on a major, but am considering interior design. Whatever I choose to do, I hope to be able to give back to my community and take every opportunity presented to me. I want to thank my family for pushing me to do my best and always supporting me. I would also like to thank my teachers and coaches for pushing me academically and athletically, and getting me to where I am today.

Our next Top 10 Spotlight is Benjamin Southers! Hello, my name is Benjamin Southers. Throughout High School, I was involved in National Honor Society, Tri-M, Beta Club, and Esports. I was also a student leader in the Marching Band, first chair in Wind Ensemble, and I participated in Concert Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Band. I plan on attending Ohio University-Chillicothe and earning a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. I also plan to continue my education to become a Nurse Practitioner by attending graduate school. I have always been interested in a career in the medical field where I'll be able to connect and support my local community. My decisions, courses, and extracurriculars have played a huge role in my success; allowing me to get closer to reaching my life goals. I want to thank my teachers that mentored and supported me on my academic journey. I also want to thank my family for encouraging me to do my best and providing unconditional love throughout my life. I would not be where I am today without their help. Thank you, Benjamin Southers

Over the next couple of weeks, we are going to spotlight the Class of 2024's Top 10! We are starting with Viona Thai! "Hi, I am Viona Thai. I represent my class of 2024 by currently serving as the Executive Student Council President, Tri-M National Honors Society Social Secretary, a member of the National Honors Society, the First Chair Viola of the Symphonic Orchestra, and one of the six members of the AIM (Academy in Medicine) Program. I plan on attending Ohio State University and majoring in Bio-Medical Engineering, as I aspire to be involved in the medicine industry. My fascination and admiration for the works of medicine have driven me this far and pushed me towards all my goals and accomplishments. I am thankful for every opportunity that has brought me one step closer to what I have worked so hard for. It’s only the beginning. I want to thank my teachers for their guidance and support. I want to thank my parents for pushing me towards success and always encouraging me to have a bright future. And lastly, I want to thank my three sisters who mean the absolute world to me. Love you all endlessly." Congratulations Viona! We are very proud of you!
